IRCC has announced its #269th express entry draw, where 1,548 invitations have been issued to candidates scoring a C.R.S. score of 776 or above.
Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued Maximum Invitations through the PNP program for 2023. We have explored a detailed graph for the last 5 PNP invitations 2023 below, which shows that the I.T.A. issued on #269th express entry draw was comparatively high from the previous express entry draw.
Why Express Entry C.R.S. Score Increased Drastically
IRCC has issued its PNP-specific express entry draw after a long time, where the last one was issued on 10th May 2023. The express entry draw #248 has 691, the lowest C.R.S. score, with 589 invitations to apply.
Since the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) can add up to 600 additional points to an Express Entry profile, when the IRCC issues a PNP-specific Express Entry draw, the Comprehensive Ranking System (C.R.S.) score required to receive an Invitation to Apply (I.T.A.) is usually higher compared to a general Express Entry draw.
The graph above shows that the PNP program's C.R.S. columns are around 700. Successful nominees gain an additional 600 points based on economic factors.
Each province wants to grow economically, so they will nominate a candidate with good experience in related occupations, higher studies in a particular field, and enough funds to settle in Canada permanently.
British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program
The most popular category of skilled worker was Skilled Worker EEBC for recent BC PNP draws, with 101 invitations sent on October 24 and 104 invitations sent on October 17 for Tech occupations.
Other popular categories of skilled workers included:
- International Graduate -(Minimum Score: 113)
- International Graduate EEBC - (Minimum Score: 113)
- Entry Level and Semi-Skilled -(Minimum Score: 91)
- Skilled Worker + International graduate EEBC - (Minimum Score: 60)
Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program
There were no draws from the Ontario government in October 2023, whereas there were six draws in September.
Ontario's two most in-demand categories of skilled workers are the Express Entry Human Capital Priorities stream, and Ontario's Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Workers stream.
These streams have the lowest minimum scores, at 350-462 and 348-434 respectively.
Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program
Saskatchewan Express Entry draw held on 5th October, 2023. The draw invited 542 skilled workers to apply for provincial nomination.
The most popular occupation groups for this draw were:
- Technical trades and transportation officers and controllers (stream 72)
- General trades (stream 73)
- Helpers and labourers and other transport (stream 75)
As per the latest SINP programs, Saskatchewan has a demand for skilled workers in these particular occupations.
The minimum score required for an invitation to apply was 601 for Skilled Workers Overseas. This suggests that Saskatchewan considers skilled workers with diverse qualifications and experience.
One hundred forty candidates with valid Express Entry profiles and job seeker validation codes received invitations. Overall, Saskatchewan is looking for skilled workers in a variety of occupations, with a focus on technical trades and transportation.
The Canadian Immigration Department The province is also willing to consider skilled workers already interested in moving to Canada.
